JAMESTOWN - Minot High can check one box off its list of goals. The Magi clinched the WDA regular season title on Oct. 1. Behind a flurry of goals, Minot secured a 4-0 road victory at Jamestown at JHS Rotary Field. The shutout was also the fourth this season by the Magi and it marked the ninth time the squad scored four or more goals in a match.

That win, coupled with Century's loss to Legacy, assures the Magicians will finish first and earn the WDA's top seed at ND State Tournament later this month. Three goals came in about a five-minute window of time in the opening half. Tayson Solper broke the ice and then David Rodriguez and Carson Fiske score. Minot added a fourth in the second half.

Minot will next face second place Century next week. Jamestown is set to play Minot North, with a 5-6 record, on October 8.
