Event Recap
BISMARCK - Century claimed its 11th WDA title and second in three seasons with a strong performance on Mandan's Aquatic Center on Nov. 8. The Pats powered to 459 points to pull away from the field. Legacy was runner-up with 325 points and Minot High was third with 299 points.
The team standings were as follows: 1. Century, 459; 2. Legacy, 325; 3. Minot High, 299; 4. Mandan, 287; 5. Dickinson, 183; 6. Williston, 173; 7. Bismarck High, 158; 8. Minot North, 125; 9. Jamestown, 112.
Notable individual performances included Madeline VerDouw from Bismarck, who won both the 200 IM and 100 Breaststroke. Minot's Sam VonBokern also excelled, winning the 200 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Century's Sienna Mracheck took first in the 500 Freestyle, while Legacy's Brinley Steele won the 100 Backstroke. Williston's Dru Zander was named senior athlete of the year.
