DICKINSON - Dickinson's Xavier Twist broke a 1-1 score late in the second half, giving the Mavericks' their first-ever win over Bismarck High on the pitch. The 2-1 win on Sept. 22, more importantly, added three more points in the standings as Dickinson still tries to stay in contention for a state tournament berth. historic victory over Bismarck with a 2-1 win on September 22, improving their record to 3-6 in the Western Dakota Association and overall. Bismarck now stands at 4-3 in the conference and 5-3 overall.
Wilmer Molero staked Dickinson to a 1-0 lead at the half, but Liam Chathams knotted it the score. However, Twist's goal a few minutes later proved to be the difference. Maverick goalkeeper Paxtyn Paulson had a busy night, stopping 13 shots.
