BISMARCK - For a second time this season, Bismarck High posted a 1-0 win over rival Legacy on the pitch. This time it was a late second half goal that was the margin of victory of the Demons on a picture-perfect Sept. 24 night at the MDU Resources Communty Bowl. BHS is now 6-3-4 overall and 5-3-4 in the Western Dakota Association. Legacy fell to 1-9-3 both in the conference and overall.

The match remained scoreless until the 73rd minute when Daniel Matthews found the back of the net with an assist from leading point producer Camren Haase. It was another solid defensive showing by the tough-luck Sabers, who are fielding a young squad on the pitch.

Looking ahead, Bismarck will face the undefeated Minot team on September 29, while Legacy prepares to take on Jamestown, who hold a 3-7 record, on the same date.
