MANDAN - Mandan made history, clinching a share of the WDA regular season title with its 9-0 victory over visiting Williston on Sept. 22. Braves improved to 6-0 in conference play and 15-0 overall. The win guaranteed the top seed at next week's West Region Dual Tourament. One ore win gives the program the crown outright. Williston, meanwhile, fell to 2-11 overall and 1-5 in the WDA.

Mandan's talent and depth were on full display, winning several singles matches in dominant fashion. The one match that went three sets was at No. 6 singles. Ben Sayler held off a spirited effort by Jace Peterson of the Coyotes. The Braves will face Legacy (3-3 WDA, 8-10 overall) on September 24, while Williston looks to rebound against Minot North (3-2 WDA, 10-5 overall) on the same date.
